Sukhothai #2

Back to Sukhothai, desperately in need of  air conditioning, showers, laundry, meat and bathrooms without angry swarms of bees. If I haven't got the elephant sanctuary post up yet, that will mean more when I do.

We stayed at the Baan Georges this time, which was a cool little European pension style hotel. Nice, but I think we all missed the intensely Thai Ruean Thai hotel. We had time to explore a little in the evening and the next morning we headed out to the Sukhothai Historical Park, a Unesco World Heritage site. We caught a songthaew, which is a pickup truck of various size with benches along both sides in the bed and a sun cover. At the park we rented bikes and headed out to explore.
