From Sukhothai we took a VIP bus north to Chiang Mai. Sometime during the 5.5 hours in 100 degree heat and seemingly close to that in humidity, our "air conditioned" VIP bus quickly turned us into Very Irritated People. That was a long, hot ride. We grabbed a songthaew at the bus station and headed to our hotel, the Log Home Boutique. Cute little place in the middle of old town. We all got right in the pool, and the adults had gin and tonics delivered while swimming! One good thing about dehydration-1 or 2 drinks go a long way.
Sunday night in Chiang Mai there is a huge night market. This was the first big market we have gotten to, and it was really fun and had great prices.
